The focus of Cyrte’s Listed Equity team lies within the telecom, media and technology (TMT) sector. This stems from the unique investment process that is driven by Cyrte’s philosophy. Our current range of services can be divided into 4 geographical regions: the EU and US (occasionally Asia), Latin America and Africa.

The Global TMT Fund is our Flagship fund and invests in the Innovation Cycle in the developed markets. Our Africa Fund allows us to invest in TMT innovations at the lower end of the market.

The newly launched Latin America Fund is the continuation of our Brazil Telecom Fund. Our experiences in Brazil highlighted the growth opportunities in Latin America. We are of the opinion that Latin America is located somewhere between Africa and the developed world in terms of its development phase. It has the innovation and growth opportunities of the emerging markets while, at the same time, it has many of the capacities of the developed world.

The outstanding performance of our concluded funds proves the success of our investment approach. Not only have the funds shown excellent performance since inception (PSI), but our expectations have been fully materialized over the duration of the fund. In the case of our Brazil Telecom Fund for example, the structural repositioning of Brazil developed precisely as we predicted. This re-rating resulted in long-term economic growth. The telecom sector was one of the major beneficiaries of this growth.
