René Gude

 


René Gude (1957) studied philosophy in Amsterdam and Utrecht. In the nineties, he co-founded the Netherlands’ most widely distributed magazine on philosophy, Philosophy Magazine, and was editor-in-chief and publisher.


This was followed by a period during which he worked as a strategic consultant for Veen Bosch & Keuning Publishers (now NDC/VBK). Since 2002, he has been the director of the International School of Philosophy (ISVW) in Leusden, an institute for permanent education founded by Frederik van Eeden in 1916.


The programme encompasses of conferences and courses for philosophy enthusiasts and workshops and training for government organizations and businesses focusing on the constants of organizational philosophy and business ethics. Gude has published numerous articles and has written a concise history of philosophy.
